The source. For the curious who want to know where it all comes from, or if you'd like to unroll, then roll your own.

Corrosive 8

pzykojazz 2.151 <11:12>

Buzz module [569 KB BMX]

Samples [540 KB WAV]

Yes, version 2. Version 1 used to be one of my simplest modules, but that was before I let Buzz at it. At its heart, it's still simple; just two instances of the same sample being speeded up/down while swerving wildly between channels. It's all in that one sample, and I'll be damned if I remember where it came from.

The module only differs from the release by a little amplification and compression.

Ostedisk <10:30>

Buzz module [910 KB BMX]

Samples [737 KB WAV]

An old Photoshop image that came out pretty well. Not entirely happy with the sequencing, but the last five minutes makes it worth it (and of course, that was the part that happened the most by accident).

This module is all there is to it.

Rustgull <8:25>

FT2 module [1.6 MB XM]

Samples [1.1 MB WAV]

Pretty simple, but not bad.

The released version has been post processed somewhat, and cut short at 5:00. Feedback echoes are fun, but it just broke the mood too much.

Track 4 / XEvil

This is nothing but the XEvil Win32 binary, minus the parts of it that actually are sound, plus the slightest bit of filtering and reverb. Shouldn't be hard to reverse engineer.

dron.inn / dron.ut

These are Buzz live jams, recorded straight to hard disk. I haven't even been able to recreate the particular kind of sound later, as much though I'd like to. The general setup was to slap together a bunch of vibratos, flangers, chorus and ninja delays, feed them a 220 Hz tone (A-3), and then flirting with extreme values until stuff started oscillating, and feeding back, and clipping. Yeah baby.

So, there you have it.

Don't go doing anything boring like just putting a drumloop on top of pzykojazz and calling it a remix, now, or I'll have to slap you over the head with a wet flounder.

Oh yeah, and if anyone actually does anything with this, I'll be happy to put up a link.
