Early in December, we went to Niagara Falls. I can recommend visiting there in the winter. It's cold, but there aren't many other people there, and hotels are cheap.

• This is a photo of the American Falls taken from Skylon Tower on the Canadian side of the river...
• Another view which shows the mists created by the falls. This is visible from several miles away on a clear day.
• Upstream of the falls is a bridge where one can look out over the river.

In January of 2001 I returned to London, with intent. A few of us Surfers spods got together at Shakespeares Head for a few drinks.
